HV'ART Advanced Hardener Crosslinker is a versatile additive that boosts the performance of coating systems. Designed for use in both HV'ART basecoats and topcoats, it initiates a powerful chemical reaction, creating a tough, resilient film with enhanced resistance to wear, abrasion, and chemicals. With its medium drying time and long pot life, it provides professionals with the flexibility needed for large or complex projects, ensuring a durable, high-quality finish.
The HV'Art Advanced Additive Hardener (HVCRHRD 1%) is and optional additive to further increase the chemical and mechanical resistance of the coating. Meant to be added to the final coat of a surface finish to increase hardness. It is not advised to add to any prior coats, as this can impede best inter-coat adhesion.
When added at a concentration of 0.5-1% it considerably improves hardness, abrasion resistance, resistance to aggressive household chemicals, and blocking resistance against tannins or bleed from the substrate.

Ensure all external materials in contact with the coating system, such as putty, adhesive tapes, sealants, and cleaners, are tested for compatibility by the user to avoid any adverse reactions.

Prep & Applicaiton
Application
Add the hardener by blending very well with a mechanical mixer. Use the product within 3 hours after adding the hardener. Do not use the remaining product after such a time. On application, the temperature of the product, the substrate, the coating and the working environment should never fall below 15°C.

Add the additive slowly and under mechanical mixing. When the crosslinker is used in coating systems with quick drying time, the quantity of product to be used must be decided after performing tests on the system and based on the user’s application.
Pre-thinning Dosage:
5% by volume of the coating material, after pre-thinning (see below)
Thinning:
Dilute 1 part HVCRHRD with 5 parts water immediately before addition to the chosen coating.
Application:
The coating mixture containing additive should be used immediately after preparation and used within 12 hours.
Drying:
- Recommended temperature – 20°C
- Relative humidity – 45-65%.
